A photo has emerged showing a prototype Micro ATX motherboard from MSI, based on the Intel's X58 chipset. Dubbed the MS-7593 the board comes with six DDR3 slots supporting triple channel, two PCI-E 2.0 x16 slots (SLI compatibility is at present unknown), 7 SATAII ports, 8 channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet and an on board power switch. Further details such as availability and pricing are currently unknown.

I'm of the opinion that this board is pretty fail unless it's below $200.
- What's up with the slew of USB headers? USB whore's dream, don't call me kthx.
- Lacking fan headers (DFI has 8, ASUS has 5 which I think is the bare minimum), this seems to have only 4.
- Unconfirmed SLI support

There's also an ugly version which I don't care to report about and deem it so fugly that only a link is appropriate.

Wow, if I ever go I7 and these boards are still around I'm grabbing one! (of this type of board (mATX w/2 PCI-e) atleast).

I noticed Jetway released one with and AMD chipset (can't find ANYTHING on it though).

Anybody notice that in this prototype the PCIe slot is at least 4x length and it's open? Could sandwich a RAID card in between two single slot GPUs.

I recon it will be the ugly version as it would pretty much be a mATX version of the X58pro.
Which Currently retail at 200 so im gathering this would be sub 200 as a cheapo alternative to the ASUS and DFI boards.

It looks like they are shooting for the budget market. You would have to sacrifice alot though as MSI doesn't offer any overclocking.
