since the search option is still not working, I figured I would just ask you for a friend

I''m settin up a network at work, it's acombination of osx and windows xp pro clients, on a windows 2003 domain.

i'm wondering if there's a way to permanently map a network drive in OSX, i can open the finder connect to server and add the folder, but when I logout the share dissapears.

major pain in the ass, there must be someway to create a permenant share no???

any ideas on this guys

Make an alias of it and make the computer run it on login. I'm not sure how you make it run it on login, probably a Startup Items folder or something simple like that like on OS9.

OOOH, OSX hahaha.

man for some reason my mind started reverting back to the ol' OS/2 Warp days and i was like "who the hell would need an XP / OS/2 network?!"

If you can go the pure linux route I think the propper thing to do is to make an entry in the fstab file.
