This is actually a pretty cool way of dressing up your Mini, and we all know it will be just a short while till we see those of you with a 3D printer at home start abusing your friends for driving a Mini. I got $20 for the first one of you that sends in a video of you printing out and attaching anything with a "mini-peen" on it in your buddy's ride.

Want your family name in the door sill plate? Done. Want the skyline of your home city engraved in the dash trim? No problem. And it can all be done exactly as the customer likes, so any writing can be done in any font, including the customer’s own handwriting.
 
BWM completely fubared the Mini. The high beltline/cowl shrunk the glass canopy, making it feel so muh smaller than it is, and it aint that big to start with.

The Mini was always about customizing your ride and you pay a premium for that. I just cannot get passed that 3" increase in cowl hieight from the previous generation. Then there is the turbo-charged three cylinder engine. Too much BWM, not enough Mini.

Probably had more to do with pedestrian protection required for Europe and other safety mandated items rather than simply "BMW" - though not disputing that BMW may be at least partly to blame. :)

Agreed, I have '06 Cooper S that was my daily till 3 years ago and is now just for weekend track duty and fun, but I'd never buy one of the latest gen. I thought the 2nd was bad, but god it go so much worse with the latest generation that the 2nd gen actually looks pretty good in comparison. You used to be able to order every option al a carte also, but last I looked you have to buy "packages" like every other brand with crap you don't want to get the stuff you do. But they've sold a lot more as a result of going more mainstream in the interior design and bloating the size each gen.

That was to blame for the previous generation, the current generation is all BMW....and shitty focus groups.
 
I'm gonna get "SUX2BU" 3D-printed on a plate to put on the bottom of my monster truck.

Then I'm gonna go look for that Mini.

(no rly let me know when they have these for BMW 3-series)
 
I love my Mini Clubman JCW. I've got it to 265hp and I rocket past people that look down upon my Mini. I suspect the same would be true of whatever Kyle is driving.
 
They remind me of clown cars. I always expect to see at least 20 clowns climb out of them once they park but alas no only one every time. :8(
 
I love it when monster trucks try and tailgate me through a decreasing radius curve which shifts from positive to negative camber. It is a hoot to watch the panic come over their face as they plow into the curb and break something.

One year the Wife and I dressed as clowns for Halloween. Pulled up to a stop light and there was a cop sitting next to us. Never saw two cops laugh so hard in my life. We were a hit at the party we were going to.

People that do not get Mini's,...well,....they do not get it at all.

The R56 was the last decent generation of Mini. Everything after that is nothing more than a BMW with a different name on it, and they suck. Well, that was harsh. Let's just say they have joined the disposable car generation and leave it at that.

My wife would love another mini but they are so huge and ugly now. Sucks that the one we had was a total POS. Something was breaking all the time. Our extended warranty paid for itself about 5 times over. Warranty ran out, we paid off the car, and it went to total shit like a month later.

Only way I would ever buy another BMW is if I can get a decent deal on a long, full coverage, extended warranty and sell it as soon as that warranty is up.
 
I sure loved my 68 Cooper. I would not buy one of these fat pigs, they are horrible little things.
