I'm not sure why someone would want to keep the old version of edge. It never gained any significant market share. Maybe a few oddball businesses who somehow used it for something important and where switching to a chromium-based browser would break that? That said, it's nice that they provide an option. I personally prefer Firefox over any Chromium-based browser.
