Before we get into this discussion, can someone name a tech company where two CEOs ended up working out?

With two greatly differing yet interoperating units that will propel Microsoft into the next few years, at a time when its bread-and-butter offerings are changing in the face of an ever-evolving industry — from declining PC sales, a monopolistic mobile industry, and an emerging cloud market — two CEOs may make more sense than one.

I think that guy needs a new career. What kind of nimrod suggests something that has never worked for anyone?

LOL how about no. Get one good CEO with good people reporting to him/her that can run the divisions of the company.

This. Look at something like our government (while it is broken). You have one person at the top that makes the major decisions based on what people under him suggest are good choices. So the same with a company. You get really solid people leading the various divisions that are focused only on their part and a CEO who isn't tasked with micromanaging the details of every division.

One CEO can be in charge of throwing chairs and dancing, the other can run the company.
