Look back at American history and observe laws like alcohol prohibition. Utilizing technology such as this, how many Americans would have been crucified over laws that people then, and today, find completely ridiculous. /They'd have to build walls around major cities.

America never truly observes their own conduct to insure that every action made is truly a holistic action. As I child I thought we did, but that illusion is long dispelled.
 
Its a pretty simple practice..

1. Don't upload ANYTHING you wouldn't share with your friends. Instead store it locally across two different types of media storage and consider encrypting a drive and giving it to a friend for storage in case of a fire.

I don't store my passwords anywhere digitally anymore. I write them down on a physical note pad , best security there is. If someone wants to get at it they need to come through my door and face down my shotgun.

Child porn possession laws are absurd pandering to the most primitive members of society who think only with their hormones and instincts rather than logic. When you have SWAT teams busting down the doors of parents for taking pictures of their children getting their first bath (or something equally innocuous), you know the law is fucked up. When you have children getting arrested for child porn for taking pictures of their own body and sexting (straight out of Muslim countries where rape victims are the ones who get punished), you know the law is fucked up. Putting someone in a cage for 30 years because they possessed a picture of someone 364 days 23 hours and 59 minutes old (as if the extra minute makes a difference) is absurd and intellectually lazy. Putting someone in a cage for 30 years because they possessed an image of virtual (as in not even a real child but a CG rendering or animated drawing) child porn is absurd (and quite frankly, if a pedo can satisfy their urges with a fake image rather than by raping a real child, then all the better because that is one less child victim).
