Just bought an MSI z270 Gaming M3 mobo and 6700k for $375. I would have boight the gigabyte z170 gaming board and 6700k for $350, but it was out of stock.

It rings up at $400, but if you go to the microcenter website in desktop mode and look under intel motherboard combos it shows $375. Sjow them on your phone and have price adjusted. YMMV

Also mobo came with $15 MIR making it $360

Dont put this on slickdeals lol

For example, looking at http://www.microcenter.com/product/...tel_Motherboard_with_USB_Type-C_Thunderbolt_3 for $120 (which is also sold out at my local store) and http://www.microcenter.com/product/451883/Core_i7-6700K_SkyLake_40_GHz_LGA_1151_Boxed_Processor for $280, that would be $400, minus the $30 for the bundle should be $370, but http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx says the bundle price is $350, not $370. Is that is? Basically saving an extra $20? (not counting the $20 mail in rebate for the motherboard)

Not sure Id say its a price mistake, rather then just a different deal. They have the typical $30 off any board in a combo, but if you look at the combo deals, they have some boards that have bigger discounts. I got an A10 APU with an MSI board that was free after a $10 rebate, and the board was $50 normally. Just had to show the combo page where prices are different for certain boards.

yea that's what I did. However even if you click on the bundle the price goes up. Not as good of a deal as I thought anyway. Now I wish I'd of bought the Asus TUF z270 for $5 bc it has SLI capability and is onsale. Could take it back, but dunno if I really want to deal with pulling the board out

Pull the board, it's worth it in the long run, especially for a board that comes with a longer warranty.

I've got that board, but to get the most of it, I believe it needs a Kaby Lake CPU.
