MGS V: The Phantom Pain Won't Load

So I bought this game for $5 on a humble bundle deal and activated it on Steam, game downloaded and everything but when I go to open it to play it nothing happens. I've tried everything but nothing works. Any ideas? Anyone have this problem? The stats in steam says "Running" but it never loads, then it syncs and says "Ready to play" It's an endless loop and the pain is real.

disable any monitor/fps apps. try running the exe directly, try compatibility modes. check for a redist folder and install everything in there.

Do you get a black screen, a Steam progression window, or nothing at all?
