Metal: Hellsinger

LOL I know that guy Serj System of a Down used to love that stuff. Music doesn't add much immersion though all you hear is the music. Maybe just use the instrumentals maybe there will be a music slider for volume in game.

I would of used this song instead plus give you the option to Turn off in game. I'm actually more interested in Witchfire.

The game isn't using licensed music. Being able to turn off the music would defeat the whole purpose of the game.

The PC version will be getting custom music modding support.

Looks like like fun, but I've read it's pretty short (~5 hours) so I'm going to wait for a sale!

I picked it up. The music is decent. It's always got a very consistent beat, which, of course, is pretty necessary for a rhythm game. It changes tempo, but that's about it. But it's still good. I like it. Gameplay is pretty good, though a bit weird. For example, early in the game I got a gun. I can't shoot to the beat with the gun because the cycle rate on the gun is slower than the music. So that creates a bit of a challenge to stay on beat. You can reload faster is you tap the reload button to the beat of the music. There are combos. The weapons seem to have a lot of uniqueness between them. Upping the difficulty seems to mostly increase the monster hps, and perhaps damage. There is a leader board, so that creates some reason for replaying the game.

I'm enjoying it. I haven't gone past the first section yet as I keep going back and trying to get a higher score. I don't regret buying it.

Been playing it on Game Pass. It's pretty fun. It takes some getting used to in order to coordinate all your dodges, weapon switching, and reloading in addition to the attacking itself. The difficulty curve is damn spot-on, which helps. Music is really good, story is serviceable, gunplay and melee combat is tight. Don't know if it's worth $40 $30, but I would definitely give it a spin if you have Game Pass.

The shotgun is slow, but the rate of fire seems to line up with the beat in most songs if you fire it perfectly. You also get ROF upgrades later in the game. My favorite so far is the dual pistols for taking out most enemies. The shotgun is good for the behemoths and bosses.

Modding for the PC version is now available.

If you missed Gamescom, they played the soundtrack live. Was surprised to see Alissa White-Gluz actually show up, being the diva that she is. Serj Tankian didn't show up, which wasn't at all surprising. Be forewarned the audio mix isn't all that great.

New DLC Dream of the Beast announced that includes two new songs with Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil) and Will Ramos (Lorna Shore) providing vocals. The DLC also includes a new weapon and new outfits that provide gameplay modifiers. There will also be a free update that allows you to choose which song to play in every level. Dream of the Beast releases March 29.

The Dream of the Beast is now available. Not a fan of Lorna Shore, but the song featuring Will Ramos is pretty good.

Purgatory DLC out new with 3 new original songs with guest singers Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum), Matt Heafy (Trivium), and Joe Bad (Fit For an Autopsy). An update was also released that adds new content including Horde mode and a number of fixes.
