I'm upgrading my internet this week to cable, and currently I have a single coax run from my router/server to the window, where the cable enters my apartment and I have a DIY HD antenna set up now. Rather than double the run, I'd like to just use a Y connector (something like this) to combine the signals at the window, then split at my computer. As I understand it, the signals are based on frequency and won't overlap. Is this right?

You're looking for a diplexer.

No idea if it would work for you.

Do yourself a favor and just run another line.
