Asus P7P55D Pro + i7 860. RAM is 4 x 2GB G.Skill DDR3-1333 7-7-7. Even tried with the timings at 9-9-9.

What am I missing?

Edit: No errors are displayed, it simply locks up.

Memtest86.com has this in their notes:

However, safely and reliably detecting all of the available memory has been problematic. Versions of Memtest86 prior to v2.9 would probe to find where memory is. This works for the vast majority of motherboards but is not 100% reliable. Sometimes the memory size detection is incorrect and worse probing the wrong places can in some cases cause the test to hang or crash.

This is what I am seeing. And version 3.5 was last updated 1-3-09.

I came across Memtest86+, which has Added support for Intel P55 Southbridge. Anyone know if Memtest86 is incompatible with P55?

2 things.

1. On ASUS MOBOs you typically have to disable Legacy USB Support to get Memtest to run. In some cases, that setting conflicts with Memtest.

2. www.memtest.org
Get version 4.0 if you don't already have it.
