Memory upgrade

Been away a long time, but I recently built a rig and I have a question about memory upgradeability. I've got an i7 3770K and bought a single package of 2x8GB (16GB) RipJaws X http://ncix.ca/products/?sku=74925&vpn=F3-1600C9D-16GXM&manufacture=G.Skill. I am now thinking of adding another 16GB. I don't think I can mix models (though theoretically any DIMM with the same frequency and CAS should work) but is it safe to just buy a second package of the same RAM and plop it in?

there doesn't seem to be any problems if you get the same Cas and volt/freq.

According to this http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=11452 you can't mix 2 different 16GB kits even if it's the exact same model.

There goes upgradability right out the window...
