Hi All,

I'm just trying to fiddle around with memory OCs on the 3700X and the X470 Crosshair 7.

I'm not trying to eke out the last drop of performance from it, but probably just to get 3600MHz from my current RAM.

Specs:

3700X
Asus Crosshair 7
4x16GB DDR4 3200 (Corsair LPX C16)

Is there any quick and dirty way to get these sticks to 3600mhz?

I was thinking of just setting DOCP, setting the memory frequency in the BIOS to 3600mhz, and keying in the main timings of the Corsair LPX 3600s (those would be CL 18-19-19-39) and maybe running a memtest and call it a day.

In the interest of stability, is there anything else I should be trying that is hopefully low effort?

Thanks!

Do you have 4 sticks currently running at 3200 MT/s? If so, that's pretty impressive for 4 sticks, it's hard to get a 4x config past 3000.

Yes I do, seems the board has a lot to do with it.

The 2700X could do it on the CH7 with a minor bump in voltage (then, after a few BIOS revisions, could do it without needing the voltage).

The 3700X did it straight away.

The same 2700X on a B450 wouldn't do 4 sticks at 3200, but would do 2x16.

Id just see if it would run 3200..should...go from there...really 10-15% IPC gain? and more cache stuff? That's still a monster at even only 4.2....

IMC on Zen 2 is a beast, everyone is easily hitting mem overclocks vs Zen+ and Zen.

Try 3600, all settings on auto and then start tightening the timings manually or use the Ryzen calculator or the timings you posted above.

Will try fiddling with Ryzen calculator and other memory timings when AGESA 1003 abb is out for my board...

PBO not working properly with the latest available BIOS too

My Crosshair Vii Hero with 2700x and 4x 16gb 3200 sticks Maxes at 2933 Any Setting Any Voltage (Tried up to 1.5 they are B-die)...
Tried two 2700x's Same Thing... Funny thing it will run that on auto mem 1.2 volts All day long...
3700x same setup only get to 3200 finally...
