Me and my brother can't play Hearts?

Me and my brother are trying to play Hearts online and it says that we can't play because we are in the same location. At first we were on a router, so we scrapped that. Then I tried logging in via dial-up from NetZero and it still didn't work. So I dialed up via AOL and it still doesn't work.

Why are we located in the same spot? How can I vary my IP enough to make it stop bitching?

Since you were both connected to the router, that would mean that you would both be using the external ip address which would mean that you are at the same location (duh!) that's why it didn't work. The only way to fix this is if you are both on separate ISP's or if you had 2 external ip addresses. Unless you can find a game of hearts online that isn't so picky. I can only assume (because your post wasn't clear enough) that you both were on Netzero at the same time and then on AOL at the same time. This would cause this problem.
