Is it possible that an original store bought copy of XP Pro SP-2 could be buggy???

So far I've installed it on 3 different systems, some of them more than twice, with various hardware configurations, and I've had various issues with each system.

Everything from screen flicker to nic connection issues to BSD and memory/ram issues.

Everything I use is Brand Name, Asus, Plextor, Creative, etc.

Is it possible???

(And no, the cd is not scratched!)
 
Were they in the same building/room, and do they have ups connected? I ask becasue a software error should have been a consistant symptom, but a power issue has a sporting chance of manifesting in whatever was being done at the time.
 
No. 3 different systems in 2 differnt towns. And 3 totally different power grids. No UPS's at all. But all are on top o' the line power strips.
 
If you suspect the disk, you could possibly find a different one to try.
