Maximum HDMI out resolution of Yoga 3 pro?

My mom is thinking about getting a Yoga 3 pro. When at home, I expect she'd enjoy using a larger monitor, so I was thinking about advising her to also acquire a similarly high resolution monitor like the Viewsonic VX2880ML.

My question is this - can the Yoga 3 pro drive a monitor like that at full resolution?

And are there any other similarly high resolution monitors out there that would be better for this? She is not a gamer - just a casual grandma

The Yoga 3 Pro should be able to output to a maximum external resolution of 3840x2160 however only at 30hz and not 60hz.

The monitor you currently listed however is also only limited to 30hz.

Whether or not 30hz is enough for desktop work casually is debatable and subjective.
