Hi!

I received my third u2311h yesterday and finally got eyefinity all set up. I did have some questions about eyefinity and maximizing Windows applications.

As of right now when I maximize a window such as Firefox it spans all three monitors. Is there a way to make it maximize on just one of the three but still stay in eyefinity mode for gaming? Or would I have to disable the eyefinity group and use the extended desktop settings that you would normally use with a multi monitor setup?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried using a display management program like DisplayFusion or Ultramon? Not sure how those work with Eyefinity.

Yes I have ultramon and it displays one big monitor just like the Windows screen resolution box does.

I switch to normal mode when I am not gaming with eyefinity.

HydraVison desktop manager (in the AMD control center). Under general settings you can set it so that windows maximize to the display corners instead of the entire eyefinity desktop.

switching between eyefinity and normal mode is pretty buggy though
the hotkeys can stop working and it doesn't save/restore window positions correctly

i found it unusable personally
