Matrox Triple Head 2 Go Gaming on 3 Screens

nice... bring back memories of my old matrox parhelia. now I can use 3 screens without that card.
 
So would this allow one to run two or three monitors at a higher FPS than if you were running it directly via the graphics card?

I'm assuming so, if you only have on graphics card. If you had SLI, wouldn't you be better off using one monitor per graphics card? And could you use two of these to get six monitors in SLI?

Seems like a good idea, but for an extra $299, couldn't you just do SLI and have two graphics card? Yeah it's one less monitor, but the performance would be better, right?
