masking tape, where do ya put it

Ok i feel stupid for asking this, because i have cut with masking tape befor, i just forgot which way you do it. Do you A. tape both sides and cut on one side, B. tape one side and cut the side without the tape (im preaty sure it isnt that one), or C. tape one side and cut on the taped side>

Both sides are fine, but you really only need it on the side you are cutting.

To prevent scratches and tool marks when cutting blowholes and windows and such.

i would just completly cover the cut, atleast both sides, more protection that way
