Here's a weird one for you. It would seem that somebody was reportedly found dead in a conference room this morning at the Apple headquarters in Cupertino. And, before you ask, it wasn't Jony Ive.

A man who worked for Apple was found dead at the tech giant's headquarters in Cupertino Wednesday morning, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff. No suspects are being sought in his death, and no one is in danger, sheriff's officials said, adding that the campus at 1 Infinite Loop is open. Investigators have not confirmed information in apparent police dispatch recordings in which authorities describe the scene. The Santa Clara County Fire Department said crews were called to the scene but were then waved off and never went on campus.
 
The interesting part got buried near the end of the article where you would hopefully not notice it:

"Dispatch recording obtained from Broadcastify.com indicates that a female employee on the Apple campus was escorted out of a building by security Wednesday morning, and had sustained an injury to the head, possibly from a gun. Two minutes later the dispatcher talks about a dead body found in one of the conference rooms, with a gun nearby. How the woman is related to the man's death is not clear. Urena would not confirm any of the information in the dispatch audio, or comment on whether the incident stemmed from a disgruntled employee."
 
I'm there often...would be good to know what conference room so I can avoid the haunting!
 
So work place shooting/suicide with Apple providing a little pressure to keep it hush hush?
 
A death is not entirely uncommon in a large company. We found a co worker dead in the bathroom several years ago. Not on the toilet, just in the bathroom like something unexpected happened and he dropped dead.

People just die (most of the time)
 
More like buddy was caught smuggling one of their top secret prototypes.
 
So Apple is now working their US employees to death?
Guess it's only fair that they be treated the same in other unnamed countries :whistle:
 
See if there was work place diversity in this field it would have been a female employee dead instead!!!

Looks like someone wasn't too happy about Apple's first quarterly drop in profit in 13 years........

Guy working high stress job kills himself, possibly exacerbated by the rejection of a female. No way. /s

At least he didn't take a bottle of pills, get intubated, and waste even more taxpayer money.

Looks like another employee worked to death. To the furnace with his corpse.
 
Heart attacks statistically happen more often in the morning than any other time. He probably just made it to work and had a heart attack shortly after he got there. It's not likely a big deal.
