i'm commenting about the price difference for the new chipset compared to when the 590 was new

I agree with you. Both are using DD4 so the price difference doesn't make sense IMO.

Yep the price gouging is something else. I'm guessing everyone's trying to cash in on the GPU shortage...
The saddest part is that it seems that enough people take these price hikes as being ok, basically encouraging this.

One is a Z690 the other cheaper is a Z590

690 have what one more USB 3.2 and Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX211(Gig+) over Wi-fi 6 ax 201, just 4 more pci-express lane capability, etc.... Lot of the boost in new capability are on the cpu itself, not the chipset.

It could be the Alder lake (pci express 5 routing and so on) that be part of it, but the chipset look like a thing that stayed the same price target over generation, with the gain being normal advancement.

.Ram has also got the rip off status,supply/demand,I ordered DDR5 32GB ram for $269 Canadian before launch. Then on Nov 4 the same Ram went up $100 Canadian.

You also realize the z590 board was not $130 when it was released. It was $180 when first released. Can't compare prices from a board they are clearing out to a newly release current gen board.
