Made the jump to 4870 . . .Question ?

thanks . . . lol.

i should have been a wee bit more specific and ask if the
Corsair 620 come with TWO six pin connectors ?

i don't see them in the bag. I suppose i can buy them . . .

Would it make any difference if I use the 4 pin adapter cables
that come with the 4870 ?

Thanks again.

Yes, and if it's the same Asus card I got, it should come with a 2 molex to 6-pin adapter in the box.

Yes, you can use that adapter (you posted before I did and I didn't see your response ;) ).

The Corsair HX620 has two PCI-e (6-pin) outs, and comes with two cables. If you don't have them or want the newer 6+2 pin PCI-e cables (they can be either 6 pin or 8-pin, which is used in some newer cards), call up Corsair and they'll send you the cables for free :).

i may work with the old card.

but one of the screws that hold the cover is chewed down.
i will work with the card and see if i can fit an Accelero S1.

reselling the card is not an option because the depreciation
is less than a third of what i paid, and probably less. i can't
locate the warranty paperwork.

i have a spare HX620 that i will have to cannibalize for its two
six pin connectors because i can't find the first unit's bag.

thanks so much again

Yeah you should be fine with that psu. Also I've used the 2x molex to 6pin pci-e before and it works fine. It isn't the best looking thing if you have a window but it does indeed work.

As someone else has mentioned Corsair will likely send you some replacement connectors.
