I need a new power supply and noticed that CompUSA has a modular 600W power supply with four fans that are controllable. It states that it is 620W Peak and 600W normal. It has a 5 year warranty and after rebate it's only $80. I don't think I really need 600W but I like the fact that its modular and I can contol the fans. Does anybody know if its a rebadged drive and if so who makes it? Has anybody had bad experience with Mad Dog products and do they honor the Rebates.

I need it tomorrow so etail is out of the question.

I don't think Mad Dog's reputation is all that great, though I do know somebody with one of their 480 W power supplies that seems to be OK. But I'd be more likely to go with an Antec Neopower 480 if I was shopping for a high-end PSU right now.

According to compusa...
1) It's $129.99
2) The rebate expired 01/15/05

so.. it's $129.99, not $80

and even i fthe rebate was good, it would still be 99.99, not $80

Lastly, it looks like this TTGI (link-depot) from newegg.

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-101-611&depa=0

The compusa page, specifically says, it won't ship for 24 to 48 hours.
So, you aren't getting it tomorrow, anyhow

Also, you can get the enermax eg475p [470 watt] which I guarantee you is a BETTER power supply, from newegg, fedex overnighted for only $111

I second that.. you can't go wrong with Enermax..

Just wanted you to know that the Mad Dog is made by same factory that does Enermax, Super Flower, TTGI.

I picked up a MD Super Power 550w for $60 AR.

I was alittle hesitant at first, but great PSU so far!

Specs: 3.3v line is 35A, 12v line is 30A and 5v line is 50A. :D

And where do you get this information from, seeing as how TTGI psu's are made in korea, and enermax psu's are made in taiwan?

Additionally, none of enermax's psu's have the same ratings as the TTGI psu's

TTGI *is* superflower.. that much is true.
