Has anyone here used a mac mini to play movies on an HDTV using the DVI connection? How does the video look? I'm talking about movies ripped to the hard drive at full size, no compression. Comments on video with compression would be good too I guess. I just saw a mac mini getting streaming movies and displaying them on an SDTV using the S-Video out, so I want to know what the real capabilities are of this little thing. I may just have to get one.

Thanks all.

HDTV is pretty processor intensive. I'd say with the dual cores (core dual, blah) it's more than capable.

core duo, you mean

The orig mac mini will NOT play hdtv with its slow g4 - the core solo will do it but nothing else in the background and the core duo is great.
