I have a MoBo with the 790GX chipset. It has onboard HDMI and DVI output. Will the onboard video work when I have a GPU in the PCI-E slot?

I can't get it to work although I haven't tried removing my video card.

nope.. will not work when the other card is in.. board doesnt support hybrid crossfire if i remember correctly.. and even then hybrid crossfire only works with the HD3450 i believe..

I disagree, and I believe he may be talking about SURROUND setting for graphics adapters in the BIOS to enable multiple monitor support. Sort of like the "new" Eyefinity feature.

Multimonitor != Eyefinity.

Most games do not allow for multi-monitor.

Eyefinity makes them work on multimonitor.

NOTHING else at the moment does that.

Hybrid Crossfire is a xfire setup between the onboard GPU, and a dedicated card, via the PCIe link.

This mobo is this:

which has hybrid xfire, and sideport memory, but no SURROUNDVIEW (690G and 780G only), which simply runs both GPUs seperately, instead of xfiring them.
