Is it possible to flash a LSI SATA/SAS 9212-4i4e to IT mode? I am planning my MicroServer upgrade (currently on OmniOS omnios-d3950d8 & napp-it 0.9) and I want to be able to add drives in an external enclosure as well as a ZIL & L2ARC drive. Looking at that card as it will give me the four internal ports I need as well as the external one I need (I have a RAC in my MicroServer so only one free slot). As for drives, I was thinking of a ICY DOCK MB994SP-4S & 4 cheap Kingspec 32GB SLC SSDs, 2 mirrored for OS, one for ZIL & one for L2ARC. I don't read & write a lot so I don't really need larger ones. Just want to give it a bit of a boost incase I add more drives in the future.
