Hello guys!
I just bought a Msi Amd Radeon RX570 Armor 4GB to start mining some monero.
I've only reached hashrates up to 560 H/s regardless of which os(ubuntu/windows) or mining software(xmr-stack/claymore) I've used. When I checked the monerobenchmark site everyone with RX570 cards had hasrates of about 700H/s so I'm wondering If this is normal on stock settings? Have everyone else clocked/modded their cards?
Grateful if somenone could help me out.

It helps to bios mod all polaris cards. Tighter memory timings make a big difference. My RX 580 does over 900 after a bios flash.

What do you mean by polaris cards? and is there any specific bios you can recommend? Thanks!

Read 1stminingrig.com and a Anorak.tech for some easy help on getting started and some bios files.

Read first mod later. You CAN fry your card if you do the wrong bios file.

First you'll need to find out what brand of memory you have. Then google...

"Anorak MSI RX 570 Armor 4GB <memory brand>"

...and find yourself a tweaked BIOS for that card.

I own four of that very card. All mine with stock Armor hearsink overheat.
Maybe because I buy open boxes, or maybe Armor heatsink just sucks.
Suspect heatpipe fill was defective, contaminated, perhaps just empty?
Re-do of TIM doesn't help. Definately this sink not working as intended.

Holes in this watercooler line up pretty good. Find your own screws though.
Nothing about package or documentation indictaes that it might fit. It does.

You also gonna need to tiewrap a thin 50mm fan over the VRM sink.
Fortunately bracket has ornamentation that allows easy tiewrap mount.
You will be in the 40's at any clock...

Memory VRM gets a little warm too, somewhere upper right of GPU.
If you can figure which transistor(s), maybe glue a sink there too.
I havn't yet, but probably should...

I can't find the memory brand, I looked everywhere; on the physical card, on the specifications, using I-nex software etc.
When I looked up in anorak.tech everyone seems to have either an elpida or hynix card but I can't find any information on my card except that it's
an Msi Micro-Star.
This is the exact model I have:

So far, I've gotten by wihout fixing the indicated hotspot.
But it wants some air or a sink there to be done right.
I suspect this area is VRM for the memory.

I've now modded my card

I've now modded my card with a bios from anorak.tech and I can get about 720H/s
on xmr-stak in windows if I overclock it with MSI-Afterburner.
On Ubuntu, on the other hand, I can't get more than about 610H/s, is this normal?
Because read that linux should be a lot better for mining than windows.

mimo3948 Try out Claymore's v11.0 Cryptonote miner. (Windows)

720H's seems about right for a RX570 in Windows and stuff set right.

OTOH, those Ubuntu numbers seem low.
