Low 3dMark score vs others?

I seem to have gotten a bit lower 3dMark score vs other people with the same hardware. Any ideas why? I turned off MSE per another users recommendation yesterday, but I didn't adjust any other settings other than tell it to sync all my cores.

Wondering if it could be related to the 650w EVGA Gold PS that people recommended isn't enough? I am not sure how I can tell.

Here is my build.

You have a wicked rig!

Looks like the memory may not be using XMP profile for 3200mhz, may need to confirm (this could bring CPU perf down) which may be your culprit.

If you plan on overlocking the CPU and that 1080ti, 650watts will be pushed.

Other than that, you have one badass rig and do not let a few points of 3dmark take away from how wicked it is!

I just ordered the 750w version of my power supply and will return the 650w back to Amazon. Hopefully that will be enough? It does a big jump from 750 to 850 in price.

A power supply that is over worked will usually just power off or weird things will happen.. lowing your scores is unlikely.

For $20 more it's probably a better decision and gives me the buffer I need for oc. Since I can still return the other one to Amazon. Will check that xmp setting tomorrow. I think it's off .

Don't look at the top scores on 3dmark - those are savage scores that have all manner of tuning in place. Look at the middle of the road scores for your hardware for a comparison. And realize any system that runs 3dmark is already going to be pretty much an enthusiast system - not run of the mill junk. People don't get into benchmarking unless they have an enthusiast system and some interest in the whole aspect.

That 650 watt PSU is not your problem at all. It'll not increase your score one iota. If your components weren't getting enough power they'd just crash. Since they aren't - that isn't your problem.
