I swapped out a Ryzen 5 1600 with a Ryzen 7 1700 and I lost my audio completely. REALTEK does not show up in device manager, dxdiag ... it's almost as if it's disabled in the BIOS. I have toggled off and on in the BIOS. REALTEK does not show up in the playback devices. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and tried to run the .exe in the Realtek folder with no luck. It's as if the Realtek audio chip was plucked from the board :(

For what it's worth - I took the hard drive out and took it to another machine with the same exact motherboard. The Realtek HD utility was visible and drivers were loaded. I took it downstairs again and back to original problem - no Realtek. "Device disconnected." I'm RMA'ing the motherboard. In my 25-30 years of building PCs I've never seen one component on a motherboard die like that. Usually the mobo works or it doesn't.
