Looking to replace my WRT54G Wireless-G Router

You need to nail this down, Realtek have some kind of idle/low power mode in their drives. Preferably install the latest driver from www.realtek.com while you're at it.

When I replaced my WRT router I looked for something that was compatible with DD-WRT. With a little bit of research I found that a fair amount of the buffalo routers came with native DD-WRT installed on them. They also are at a great price for all the power you get with it. I've been running my router for the last two year and its been without issue expect for my wife complaining that I had it restarted every single night right after midnight.

Here is a buffalo for less than $50.

Why were you restarting it every night? That isn't problem free if it needs a reboot every 24 hours :p

Just a quick update here. All the lights on my switch have been lit up green (indicating a Gigabit connection) for the past week or so. Nothing (that I know of) really changed. But, I wont argue. Just keep the Gigabit speeds coming!!!
