So I want to upgrade to 8GB RAM in my Mac Mini. It's the current revision: 2.26GHz/2GB RAM. I want to experiment with VMs and such and 4GB in my laptop didn't seem to be enough. Since I want to it all from the Mini, I'd like to know which set of RAM to get. I realize it'd cost $350-ish, and I'm okay with that.

Does it need to be labelled Apple compatible for it work or should any brand of DDR3 work?

Does anyone here have any recommendations about RAM for Mini's or Macs in general?

I wasn't even aware they supported that much.

The wiki page says it only supports 8 total. I hope thats what he means.

Also, make sure you get the correct speed. Most apple stuff wont underclock a faster spec ram. It should be 1066mhz.

you might want to look into getting an ssd. running parallels on my mbp (4gb ddr3) with a hdd made me not want to use it at all.

Mac minis do not support more than 8GB of physical RAM, which means 2x4GB SODIMMs max; the chipset itself cannot support 8GB SODIMMs even if you find them for a decent price.

Sorry for not being more specific. I meant to say 4GB x 2.
