Looking to upgrade my GTX680 to either a 970 or 980, but am not sure what my best bet is.
I run a PLP setup and can stretch a game or two windowed to 4960x1600 but mostly run at 1600p on the 30inch alone. I play mostly MMO's, FPS, and Mobas, but I'm looking forward to GTA V and Shadow of Mordor as well.
I was hoping a 970 would be both a nice upgrade and all I need, but wouldn't know which model/brand to get, and I don't know if I should push for the 980 or wait for the ti. My biggest problem is my current CPU is an i7-950 running at 4+ and upgrading it is a little ways out still.
Also, as a quick question, is it worth watercooling the 900 series of cards? I had to give up on it with the 680 and am on air, have had stuff sitting in the closet for a while waiting for the next card worth doing it to.
