I'm considering buying a macbook for school next year, and I was just wondering if there was any software that had some of the following features:

Ability to take notes(hand written or audio)
Have spots to input classes and have seperate calenders or reminders for each class

There are a few others, but I think that should give a pretty good idea of what i'm looking for.

Ability to take notes(hand written or audio).
Apple doesn't make a tablet PC. There are rumors from 2005-2006 about support for handwriting recognition. If you want to stick to regular typed notes, recorded audio, and calendar you can use iCal and then OpenOffice under X11.

sorry, what I meant was typed or audio, anything like this. Thanks.

if i were going to use openoffice, id go with neooffice instead. it doesnt need x11.

i recently demoed a piece of software called journler. it was ok, just not to my taste. allows you to do quite a bit. text notes, record audio, put in movies etc etc. you might wanna check it out.

oh, and it is free for non commercial users.
