I currently have a gigabyte DS3L motherboard with a single pci-e x16 slot and an intel p35 chipset. I would like to move to motherboard that has two pcie x16 slots for some crossfire love. I would like to keep my current processor for now (intel e6750) so what would you guys recommend? Please keep in mind that I do not want an nvidia chipset under any circumstances. I do not overclock nor do I need the fastest motherboard on the block, but would like for it to be stable.

Thank you in advance!

Well, you have a choice of the x48 and P45 board. Difference is the x48 does 16x/16x in Crossfire and the P45 does 8x/8x in Crossfire, though cheaper but you won't see a huge performance decrease anyway.

I recommend Gigabyte. If your going for x48, get the GA-X48-DQ6. If going for the P45, go for the GA-EP45-UD3P or something similar. I'm using a GA-EP45-DQ6 and its perfect, but I think the board might be overkill for you, but I highly recommend the board to anybody.
