Okay Guys,
I am looking to buy a laptop for school and gaming use, basicly I want to get a laptop that has a screen size of 15" widescreen, highest resolution possible, it also has to have a good GPU (Graphics Card) in it, I'm looking for a 7600/x1600 bare minimum, I will be using Windows XP Pro, and playing mainly these games:
BattleField 2
AoE 2
BattleField 2142(When it comes out)
Half-Life 2/Eps1/Eps2/etc Source Games and Mods
Need For Speed Most Wanted
UT2004
UT2007 (When it comes out)
AoE 3
SimCity 4
In that order (most played to least played)
I don't have much of a budget, but I wouldn't like to spend more than 3000$ before tax (CND - Canadian).
Currently looking at the Toshiba Tecra A7 http://www.toshiba.ca/web/product.grp?lg=en§ion=1&group=1&product=5733&part=5250#spectop which I can get for about $2,199 from work
I'm also looking at a 2.16GHz Apple MacBook Pro http://www.apple.com/ca/macbookpro/ Which I can get for around $2,599 with my Collage Edu Discount
Thats all I've looked at so far, so I'm looking for your guys Guidance as I'm not much of a notbook guy, and Toshiba and Apple were the only guys I know from experance of building quality notebooks oh and if you haven't noticed asthetics matter.
Thanks alot in advance,
Chilly
