Looking for an okay laptop

About 500-800$ would be good, IVY bridge is a plus.
Mostly for normal stuff, watching 1080p vids, fast, can handle a lot of crap going on in the background(multitask) Light, the fan that blows the CPU must not be a P.O.S and quit working in a short period of time and lastly, not UGLY.

If the battery can last about 6 hours to 8 hours, honestly, I'd love that a lot!
 
Look into the pavillion series from HP? Although it's kinda hard to get a laptop with 1080p screen at that price range.
 
The Vizio Thin+Light 15.6" Ultrabook starts at $950. Being a Vizio, the screen is getting awesome reviews.
 
Thinkpad Edge? Maybe a Thinkpad T-series as well, since they start (barely) in that price range. Could also check Outlet.Lenovo.com for some nicer (but used/refurb) T-series options.

I'll check out the Thinkpads, I've heard good things about them but they can be pricey.
