Looking For A Wireless Mechanical Gaming Keyboard But Buying A Non-Gaming One, Is There Really Any Difference?

On Logitech gaming keyboards and others you have the G/Special keys that are for Macros but it seems like many people use them for Non-Gaming functions.

The G keys are placed so out of the way that I don't see the use of them for FPS, Fighting Games, MMORPG, Car Racing or RTS games.

I was thinking of buying this one even though it is not marketed as a gaming keyboard. I need one with a wrist rest and I need a full sized keyboard since I play games sitting on a couch with my mouse on a wooding platform and keyboard on my lap on a 55" Hisense 144hz U8K for 4 days a week and a 34" Alienware AW3423DW 175hz ultrawide for 3 days a week.

If anyone can suggest a better gaming keyboard I would really appreciate it if you think another one is moderately to signifcantly better.

"Gaming" is a marketing term. Unless you want a specific software suite or dedicated macro keys, just find a board you like.
The Razer is just a white wireless fullsize board with a non-attached wrist wrest. I'd personally just get a Keychron K10 and a separate wrist wrest at that point. Or if you want to get something more gamerfied the Redragon K580 seems well reviewed for the price.

There are just so many options out there. Might need some more requirements from you.

Do you need/want 2.4GHz or Bluetooth connectivity? Do you prefer linear, tactile, or clicky switches? Is backlighting with see-through keycaps important? By better, are you looking at quality and not worried about the cost, or is cost a factor? Do you want silence over thockiness?

I said my requirements in the original thread post. I was thinking about trying the smaller gaming keyboards but I don't think I wanna take the risk since I might not like it, I sit on a couch and the keyboard is on my lap so a smaller one might feel awkward, like it will hardly extend to cover both my legs so I can type easily.

I don't see how a wrist rest can attach to this. It is also a horrible keyboard with bad latency if you are using it wirelessly, probably wired too.

https://www.rtings.com/keyboard/tools/compare/keychron-k10-vs-razer-pro-type-ultra/28189/29787 The only thing I don't like about the razor keyboard is it can't display the full RGB color range, I think it can only be switched between white and blue back lights. I just found out the wrist rest doesn't clip onto it so now I will need to find something else, it will be annoying having a wrist rest that isn't attached to a keyboard while you are sitting on a couch with a keyboard on your lap.

I have been looking and it doesn't seem like a wireless mechanical gaming keyboard with an attached wrist rest exists other than this.

Since you mentioned a 96% layout here's another one with full RGB

Thanks, it looks great and it would be nice to get the White version but the wrist rest doesn't attach. I was thinking maybe using a wrist rest that doesn't attach to a keyboard on my lap might not be as annoying as I think but I could be wrong, it would still be better if one is attached.

Any wrist rest your heart desires can be attached if you use enough of this
