Looking for a beginners guide to Windows Server 2012

Hi,

I was able to acquire server 2012 through dreamsparks.com with my .edu email address. I have it installed but am overwhelmed on how to "make it work".

I would like to start out by just setting up a file/app server and moving on from there. (Virtualization, home lab, etc.)

I am a complete novice when it comes to Windows server OS, but would like to learn it as a hobby.

If anyone knows of any "step-by-step" guides, it would be much appreciated.

I would just poke around on technet and Google. If you want to find something specific try searching for 'proof of concept'.

You can usually find some documentation about setting up a lab with this terms and that should help you out.
