Looking for a $75 drone

had a birthday and got a 75 buck gift card for amazon wanting a drone but know nothing of them really hoping for excellent knowledge from my people here thanks

For $75 I'd go with some quad copter staples, extra batteries and props will help spend some of the left over money. Since you know nothing about them, you'll want something tough and with different rates and speeds you can grow with.

Small quad: Hubsan X4 and its variants
Medium quad: Syma X5C and its variants and possibly look at the offerings from Sky Viper

My husband wanted to get a dji mavic but it costs 1000usd. It's very expensive. But we saw a very cheap one which is only 270 bucks but the materials are not really good.

The Mavic is great, but probably not for beginners. It does do a lot of the flying for you so you're not really flying it, more like getting it in the air and pushing it around.
