Look here for a quick laugh!

Check this out, Prescott goes to 120W (notice that huge heatsink!):

Silly THG thinks they got the new D-0 stepping in their Prescott 3.4E, they goof again:
http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20040322/prescott-01.html

THG's own CPU-Z screenshot shows their 3.4E as a 0F33h. Note the Family is 4, Model is 3, and stepping is 3. The new D-0 stepping is 0F34h. Apparently Tom can't read since it clearly shows the stepping is 3. Plus, Intel even said that it would launch the Prescott D-0 stepping in May. So that means people would have to wait at least until like late June.

ROFLMAO! Funny picture :)

I really hope Intel realizes just how fantastically stupid it was not to include the NX bit capability in their chip and remedies it.

Actually, I sort of expect people to force Intel into doing it in the same way they've forced Intel into "making" """IA-32e""" (aka AMD64-lite).

As soon as industry gets a whiff of the fact that the AMD chips support an extension useful for security certain to be implemented by MS that Intel does not, there's going to be some poopie hitting the fan.

Also, just in case some idiot tries to throw FUD around about the A64 on a 90nm process, this quote from the ace's main page should be of some interest:
AMD confirmed that TDP for 90 nm parts will also be very close to 89 W, just like the 130 nm parts. Don't forget that AMD specifies a maximum TDP for a whole CPU line. In other words 89 W is the TDP of the (expected) fastest CPU.

I find it even funner that THG goofed again. You guys should really check out the second link in my second post.
