Long time water cooler... ready to step up to phase.. need some help.

So, what must I do to step up? I want to take a small freezer and make a phase change system. What am I looking at, and where are some threads/sites that might help me do it? I'm very technically minded, and I can machine pieces if need be, so tackling the problem should not be an issue for me, I just need to know where to go to learn more about it.
 
you can put together a system youself and get some1 you know to charge it or use a gutted windowshaker cause most likely you do not have the certification needed to handle or purchase refrigerant

many people go the route of buying a shaker at walmart or wherever for like 100-200 and stick the evap in a resevoir and pump the liquid through the system
