$72.16 - %10 paypal + $4.55 tax + $0.00 overnight shipping = 69.49

If you aren't charged tax you are looking at $65 w/free overnight shipping.

I'm not exactly sure why standard, 3 day, and overnight shipping are all listed at $0 on this item but I'm not complaining.

Dell lists availability as 1 to 2 weeks. Email notes a 09/18/2007 ship date. As we know all this can change and if it gets pushed back or a better price shows up I'll cancel the order.

Only place I have seen to get one now is on ebay (one listing) that is already over $100.

EDIT: Thanks to BigPlaya we have another $15 off through a rebate:

That makes it $50 if you don't have to pay tax... AMAZING deal

Is this mouse any good? I'm still using a G5 and an MX1000... from the looks alone the G9 looks like it would be awkward as hell to use...

I am personally not 100% happy with my g5 it just feels too big in my hands. I've never been a fan of palming the whole mouse I just don't feel as acurate. I like the idea of the different shells and logitech plans on releasing more in the future.

Here are some reviews:

Hmm, I payed using paypal, and it did not give me 10% off... This is part of the "Desktop Accesories" I thought?

Looks like I'll have to call and see..

70$ for a fucked up mouse? I say bad deal.

There are worse mice on sale right now for $99 (logitech revolution). This is the most customizable, accurate (supposedly), highest DPI mouse on the market (aside from some pos x brand mouse). $70 seems fair since it's brand spankin new. But the retail price is actually $99. This is a good deal.

I don't see what's bad with the design? It looks good to me and the shape is totally customizable by logitech by releasing different sized grips.

Now if they release a bunch of different sized grips for different hands/preferences, it will be the first company that finally figured out.

I definitely don't love the shape of the g5/g7.

Dear god what were the engineers smoking when they came up with that design?

That's what it looks like with one of the sleeves on. I'm assuming in the future, they will be adding a lot of different sleeves, essentially changing the shape of the mouse with each different sleeve.

and honestly, it looks good to me. I'm not sure what you are expecting, especially from a gaming mouse. To me the g5/mx518 shells have always been weird and uncomfortable, and don't work as "fingertip" gaming mice. The razer mice have cool designs and I've always liked them, but sometimes having a rounded slick looking design, isn't going to be what a competetive gamer (especially FPS) will like. I know that most of the people on the esreality forums prefer the logitech g3 shape, as it is much more of a fingertip gamer's mouse than say the mx518.

The g9 looks similar to the g3 shape, with the sleeves on. Only slightly wider. To me it looks pretty awesome, and I can't wait =D The 3200 DPI will go great with my 1920x1200 :p And I love all the 9 nine buttons.

Compare this one with Fatal1ty's own design... which is def very different, but they both look similar. Although it looks similar to what the old logitech wingman looked like, which I know everyone loved :p

Agreed. Think of the amount of shape possibilities. Looks just dandy to me ;P

I hope that you guys realise that Fatal1ty doesn't actually use anything with his name on it. I know because I have seen him at LANs.

The Fatal1ty mouse was a POS and I can guarantee you won't be using the 3200 DPI setting, but otherwise I agree with you.

And yeah, I've been playing multiplayer FPS since the Doom2 Dwango days using a 9200 baud modem. I've always found using your fingertips was much more precise than a full palm grip mouse.

I'm using a g5 now, but trying to use it fingertip style is HORRIBLE.

And honestly I haven't been dissapointed with a single logitech product in a long time... sure that could change but they have a great track record.

Well, I know the higher DPI is great for higher resolutions, like my 24in that uses 1920x1200. Whether I use 3200dpi I dont know for sure, could be way to fast. I use 1800dpi on my Deathadder.

i have a g5 and after sometime what was best for me was 1000 dpi 1000hz poll and middle sentivity setting in windows.

i returned mine. just didnt feel natural in the hand.

Yeah the Wingman didn't feel like any other mouse as well, but after getting used to a mouse like that, it was one of the best, at least for up close rocket launcher use. For railing, I found the wingman to be pretty poor at it. The razer boomslang was THE BEST railing mouse I had ever used, but awkard as hell for up close stuff.

Anyhow, I'm kind of a mouse fanatic, so I have tried nearly all of them, and I gotta try this one. Razer also has a new mouse coming out, to probably compete with this one. As well as MS, with their new mouse...

hah that is the strangest looking mouse. reminds me of knight rider's car :D

Cant say a lot due to NDA. Its so ugly, but the feel is good, it grows on you once you use it for a while.

Mice are a really personal preference... what works for one person won't work for another. That being said logitech products are really polished and I'll just ebay it for the purchase price if it doesn't fit my hand.

The reviews are all positive except for one I read where the reviewer doesn't like the shape.

I have been a fan of Logitech mice for quite a while so I'm in for one. It looks like there is a $15 rebate available from Logitech (download here) which makes the deal even sweeter.

in for 1 :D Thx for the deal guys !

If I don't like it I will either just send it back or ebay it, but you can't go wrong with that price + shipping on a $100.00 mouse.

I wasn't surprised to see the late ship date, considering you can't buy it anywhere yet. It's a good deal, though, and I hope the mouse doesn't suck balls. My MX500 is getting pretty worn.

First look, I thought it was a darth vader mouse.

Sounds good but I am still reluctant to relinquish my mx518.

The Fatal1ty mouse was a POS

No doubt. I got a 2020 mouse for free and it started to crap out within the month. worst mouse I have ever tried

I just ordered but didn't get the paypal credit. Guess I will have to call up.

Mine says it will ship on the 20th. What about you guys? Do you guys feel i was justified returning the Deathadder for this? xP

I dont know about death added but i am liking my friend's copperhead. It is very unique in design. I have been using the MX518 for 2 years now. I thought about getting the death added first but then i found this deal.

If for some reason i do not like the G9, i can always sell it on ebay!
