Hey all,

Does anyone know of a live CD that drops you into root by default?

Most live discs login with an admin account that has full sudo access to all things root w/o a password. I don't see much of an issue when you're only one command away from root anyways.

This. On any Ubuntu-based distro, you can run 'sudo su' to switch to the root account. The same should work on any other LiveCD that has sudo installed (and the default Live user is in the sudoers file, which it should be).

if you're going to run around in root on a livecd I think it's a good idea to set a password.

after you gain root access type 'passwd' and follow the prompts
