Bose Companion 50 is fantastic for gaming.

Please do game with the 800s and compare them to the Bose. I am willing to bet you hear a bit more with the 800s. Way more mid-range sound for starters.

Not a fair comparison. Loudspeaker vs. headphone. Besides, sound in games are not great quality. Sound "effects" in games can be real nice though.

Try Battlefield 1 though. The gold standard for directional sound imo. SQ is up there too.
