As a result of a survey posted by Boiling Steam, they've released some interesting statistics on GPU usage by Linux gamers. Very interesting, obviously at this point in time the 9xx series are a popular solution, however I also find the popularity of the 1070 interesting.

I'm looking at replacing my ageing 670FTW soon, might look into a 1080 or 1080Ti depending on how I feel at the time.

The 970's were a very popular card overall. The 1070 is a great card for the money. I want something on that level for my next upgrade. I doubt I can afford the 1080 or ti but if you can I hope you enjoy it.

We'll see how we go. There's 1080's, including Ti's, available for less than I paid for my 980Ti brand new - And that's including Australian price hikes!

I hardly game on the Windows PC anymore, perhaps I'll get a cheaper card for the Windows PC and transfer the 980Ti into the Linux PC permanently.
