An EXT2 and EXT3 FS driver using the proper driver model.

Since these are proper FS drivers, could it be possible to install windows on ext3?
(Preformatting a partition, loading them at the F6-prompt (is that doable?), perhaps having the partition show up at the target selection, profit?)

As for why, "it would be cool" is about as specific as I can get.

I think the install would crap-out - well the XP/2k installation disk say a ext2/3 partition is an "unreconised partition tpye forcing you to format

You could install it in the windows.
Boot linux and copy all files off the parition and the format as Ext2/3 and copy all back again

But I doubt the driver is loaded up fast enough (as to opposed to teh NTFS one) for it to carry on booting

Still... I have a Qemu W2K installtion with my Gentoo box, I might give it a go and report back

any idea the best way - really wanna give this a go now!!!

I installed this driver, and successfuly assigned a drive letter to my linux drive. Can browse the drive just fine too, however this error message pops up repeatedly, reappearing literally <1sec after I close it.

Anyone have any idea what's causing it?

Looks like the driver might be returning an error to the kernel when it shouldn't.
