linksys Router problems

Why does my linksys router WRT54G sometime block my internet.(page can not be displayed)

power down the router and then it works sometimes

DSL line is SBC global

Sometimes doing the power doesn't work, then I hook the dsl line from the dsl modem to the computer and it works

when you can't get to the "internet" you should do basic troubleshooting. Ping the router, cable modem, service provider (by IP) then check DNS.

Also if you're running torrents, your router can be getting overwhelmed by bazillions of connections.

Did you check for a firware update ? I know that the WRT54G has had DSL connexion problems in the older version.
