Linksys BEWF11S4 Router Firmware Nightmare

My Linksys router has been acting up lately, so I decided to update the firmware. I downloaded the firmware and tftp program, and began the update. It said "Erasing Flash Memory" this may take a long time blah blah blah. Then it says updating firmware.. About a quarter of the way through it stops and says unable to contact device or somthing along that line. I try to go to the admin panel and it says connection refused. I have tried resetting all different ways, to no avail. Can anyone help?
 
I had an early version of that router do the same... Best I can suggest is RMA, Linksys will ship you one in advance (2-3 day transit) if it's still under 1 yr warrantee
 
I also upgraded my firmware, only to notice that everything is SLOW! And long reset didnt do anything.

But I have had trouble with this POS since day one.
 
Do a hard reset (long) and set your ip to be something like 192.168.1.2 and the point the tftp program to 192.168.1.1 and see if that works
