Howdy... any way to make Lilo listen for a USB keyboard? BIOS picks it up, Linux picks it up... my RAID card and Lilo don't, however... any ideas?

Forgive me if this is what you meant by "BIOS picks it up", but did you enable USB Keyboard support in the BIOS. I think it defaults to off and a couple of docs I read pointed to that.

Yeah, that did it.... i figured it already was enabled if BIOS was picking it up and linux was too, but it wasn't. Thanks.

This is a known issue with LILO.

There are several patches on the net you could use to recompile LILO to work with USB devices. Conversely, you could use GRUB, which I know to work with USB.

It's a shame, really, because LILO is much easier to work with, unless of course, you have USB devices. :D

LILO... easier than GRUB...

What major changes have they made to LILO in the past couple months?

i've had a similar problem when booting from windows 2k and xp cd's (not that that is exactly relevent)

Well, I won't say that I don't like GRUB, but I do prefer Lilo. Maybe I'm just more used to working with LILO.

To each his own.
