Agreed. I've had to cut metal on every Lian Li case I've owned (3 cases in 7 years) for one reason or another, most recently I cut the drive cage in half in my PC-V354....why LL does it make us sweat so much?

I'm thinking of building a tiny little machine for grind work and I want to use the smallest case possible... This one seems perfect (ample PSU, tiny dimensions) but I'm afraid the quad core I'm thinking of putting into it won't be properly cooled. So I was thinking of drilling a second set of holes (of 80mm) near the ones that already exist so that to put a dual 80mm radiator in there and somehow a fit a mini water cooling setup.
However a) I have absolutely no idea how I will be able to drill such holes, nor am I that skilled with handywork and (b) I may have a problem to fit in there even the tiniest water cooling setup.
I mean I have already built a tiny water cooled setup but I used -there- an 120mm radiator, here the issues seem to be more complicated... Any ideas would be welcome.
Why not use a normal CPU cooler and just open the sidepanel over the cooler for cold air intake to the CPU?
Because it would defeat the purpose of having a small case as the cooler would have to protrude out of the case so that to effectively cool the quad core. Also it will completely destroy the aesthetics of the case.
The water-cooling setup I'm using (in my other tiny setup) with the 120mm rad actually cools my CPU better than the best air-coolers, so it is possible to create tiny water cooling rigs that put air cooler to shame. All I'm asking is whether *that* would be possible in the above case...
I dont mean have the cooler poke out of the case. And by normal I mean a low profile with a fan that just reaches the side panel. Then install grill, or drill a hole pattern to allow cold air directly into the CPU fan.
Okay... A Samuel 17 (45 mm) plus a 12 mm thick fan puts me at 57 mm. That's probably workable.+ 10mm for touch the cover...
